Good times with a great friend....

Well, yesterday Ash and I spent the whole day together.  It was really nice to have some "girl" time!  We started out the day meeting with the florist.  Ash picked out her flowers and had a budget of about $800.  After a long talk with the florist...we got a quote of around $400 for what Ash wanted...WOW!  What a deal!  The flowers will be beautiful!  And boy, what a savings!!!  I know Treva will do a great job!

After the flowers, we had to go fill out some paperwork for me to go see my "crazy" doctor for my face picking.  What and experience!  Those people in there seemed crazy...and I felt uncomfortable!  I just don't know if that is the place for me....Weird!

So then we decided to go eat at Mulligans on the beach...and what a beautful day it was for that.  The water was crystal blue.  We sat inside but right next to the windows so we could see the ocean.  We decided on an appetizer of conch fritters, wings, spinach dip and onion rings.  It was delish!  And you know Ash and I never meet up without having an adult beverage...yummy!

So then we decided to go shopping at the outlet malls.  We went to Gap and Bananna Republic.  We both found things we wanted..but didn't buy them because well..I'm broke and Ash has a wedding a maybe a new house to buy.  So..for once...I walked out empty handed...:(

After that trip we headed for Marshall's but made a pit stop at Marble Slab Creamery for some ice cream.  Ash had never been there before and it was a really nice treat on such a hot day!

Overall, we had a nice day.  But peace never comes without some drama in Ash's life.  Her mom (who works at Martin) called out and said her father died.  Now people will be coming up to Ash saying...I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa.  Ash was so upset because she's done this before.  She's running out of excuses for her mothers behavior.  After talking to Ash, she hasn't had the most peaceful life.  It's no wonder we are so different.  For one, she's 10 years younger than me...and secondly she was raised totally different.  After having a long visit yesterday...there is one thing I know.  To me Ash is a wonderful friend to me and I'm glad to have her!  Afterall, she's about the only one I can confide in.  Maybe Florida is not so bad afterall...Thanks for your friendship Ash!!
